Sewing Guild

The Sewing Guild created this beautiful stole and altar paraments, which were dedicated during Black History Month.
Several of the women meet each Monday morning to work on various sewing projects. Their primary output is handcrafted quilts, although other projects are always in evidence, such as the stole and paraments pictured at right. Quilts have been given to all new babies in the parish, to residents of area nursing homes, and to many of the sick and shut-in. Quilts are also given in honor of St. Simon’s members who are veterans and to the family members of parishioners who have served in the Armed Forces, as a token of gratitude for their service and sacrifice.
